Gone
Lexi was Gone.
Gone like a freight train
The alcohol, weed, and pills she’d not been able to stop once she started, just drinking, smoking and popping one after the other.
Gone like yesterday
She’d said she’d not get wasted, just like she’d said yesterday.
Gone like a soldier in the Civil War
Bang Bang!
She knew there was somewhere she was supposed to be (The MLK day parade downtown).
Gone like a '59 Cadillac
But the alcohol, weed, and pills had her locked in her chair.
Lexi let go of her big boobs, and grabbed the joint. The only place she'd be going was getting more wasted.
Like all the good things, that ain't never comin' back
Her sobriety was long gone.
She's gone (gone), gone (gone), gone (gone), gone
She's gone!
But she's not going to the MLK day parade downtown. She’s too far gone. But as she takes another hit and swig of rum, the only thing shell be doing is getting more gone.
