End of Summer
Like the setting sun was drawing to a close, so too was summer. The setting sun cast a warm, golden hue over the lush greenery, Morgan sat on the wooden deck, lost in thought. Or what passed for thought in her booze soaked brain. The untouched cocktail in front of her sparkled with the promise of a carefree evening, but she had yet to tough it. She knew she was already drunk, and shouldn’t have any more. However, that wasn’t on her mind-it was tangled in the complexities of a summer romance that seemed to be slipping through her fingers.
