You sat across from Mia at your favorite restaurant. Mia’s slender fingers wrapped around a delicate crystal glass, sparkling with the amber-colored cocktail within, holding it for a toast. Her eyes stared distantly, lost in a kaleidoscope of drinks, as she prepared for the familiar warmth of the drink kissed her lips, momentarily transporting her back to a moonlit seaside, where laughter and love mingled with salty air; and for that fleeting moment, she couldn't help but smile and savor the bittersweet sweetness of a cherished past.
